For a long time I planned to buy a new computer: researched specs, read articles on the latest components, comparing the best deals. I never did get around to making that purchase, but did end up buying what I thought at first would be just an accessory to that item.
A 5.1 surround sound system.
This I also researched. I weighed the different reviews and opinions. I couldn't spend alot, so looked at systems from the computer speaker market that could be moved into the living room. Cambridge vs Altec Lansing. Logitech vs Klipsch. Finally, a grand opening sale brought clarity--a $100-$150 off a very well reviewed Logitech system--I could do this, I could afford this! But only 6 systems available. So I arrived early as possible, which wasn't that early (about a half hour before opening), but I was about 4th in line, and only a couple people in front were actually wanting the system.
Got it home, hooked it up--woooow. Not only was it surround, it was good surround--better than any stereo or sound system I'd ever owned. Highs were clear, mids were clean and bass than rocked. :)
